shorten education time?

I hate it. School is the same thing every year, the same business and the same time that is wasted. We sit in classrooms for 6 hours a day and listen to someone yap away. There are people who fall asleep every class, and people who day dream. There's the people who text and talk and pass notes and listen to ipods.
There are the nerds who sit there and take notes every class-even when the teacher says that you don't need to write it down.
And many who think school is a waste of time.

What is all of elementary school for? To prepared students for high school and to teach them manditory skills such as reading, writting  and math.
Once high school is reached, all of high school is to prepared you for university or college or the workplace. And once university or college hits, it's just to prepare you for the job you want.
Does it not seem like all this preparation is unecessary?
I feel like we could shorten the pathway to education-yes i believe that an education is important, but i also feel like the amount of time we take learning about things that we will never touch again is rediculous. Elementary school could be shortened, then high school could only be 2 years, then universary or college could be 2 or 3 years and we could enter the workforce doing something that we love.
Yes, i have considered that the age that would be required to pick a career is a lot younger, but let's face it-the average person changes their career at least 3 times in their lifetime. If we are changing our careers that often, why not start earlier so you can find your true calling earlier?
That way there, students are more motivated to committ their time because school does not take that long.
The basic reading, writting and math would be covered and we would not have people like myself with a 3-year science basis-WHEN I WILL NEVER NEED TO USE SCIENCE IN MY LIFETIME AGAIN.
It's coarses that are "manditory" now that cause so many years of school.

I feel like schooling takes way too long, and maybe you don't agree, but I know that many students and parents would agree with me.
And just think of the money we would save!

The Last Song.

Going through all of my posts, and publishing them all the unfinished posts, I noticed a common theme...COUNTRY! So for the last song that I will be publishing, I chose to pick two that seemed to follow the trend.
This song is called "I'm from the Country" by Tracy Byrd. I love these lyrics and it's an upbeat song that I love listening to.

Way back up in the country, back in the hills
Down in the hollers where the folks are real
Livin’ with the crazzies and the old wildcats
Sawed off shotguns and coonskin caps
That’s where I’m from and I’m proud to say
I’m from the country and I like it that way

Everybody knows everybody, everybody calls you friend
You don’t need an invitation, kick off your shoes come on in
Yeah, we know how to work and we know how to play
We’re from the country and we like it that way

All day long we work in the fields
Then bring it on home to a home cooked meal
We love ya like Sunday, treat ya like Saturday night
And when the bed gets full we can sleep in the hay (hey)
We’re from the country and we like it that way

Everybody knows everybody, everybody calls you friend
You don’t need an invitation, kick off your shoes come on in
Yeah, we know how to work and we know how to play
We’re from the country and we like it that way

Everybody knows everybody, everybody calls you friend
You don’t need an invitation, kick off your shoes come on in
Yeah, we know how to work and we know how to play
We’re from the country
We’re from the country
We’re from the country and we like it that way

The last song that I will ever pick is a song called "Hard Hat and a Hammer" and it's by Alan Jackson. I love this song because it is just So simple minded, and it doesn't matter how sad or mad I am, my boyfriend plays this song, and he always makes me smile. I hope that you guys enjoy this song as much as I do. It actually took me a couple times listening to it, before I started to enjoy it, because it's not super catchy, but it's probably one of my favourite songs now and it's Never over-played on the radios. Enjoy guys!

..okay, so the computer won't load the lyrics and it's time to go.. So just look it up!!

Country vs. City

 vs.

The Good Ol' Country                                      vs.         The Great City Life

I've lived in the city almost all of my life.. Well as much as New Hamburg is considered a city. But, I've lived in subdivisions and such for most of my life, and I've been around the farm life almost as long. My best friend lives on a farm, and so does my boyfriend.
I just got to thinking, which do I think is better?
Most kid's in the country say that they would much rather prefer to live in the city. The claims are that in the city, you save money on gas, because you can walk a lot. Children can walk to their friends house or go for some ice cream. They can have BBQ's with their neighbours and they can sit and watch some TV. They seem to have time to relax, and there are just house chores to do. When the city folk mow their grass, it typically doesn't take too long. The city life seems great!!
The city kids wish they lived on a farm because there is so much to do!! You don't NEED to watch TV because you can go outside and play cowboys and Indians on all the space-you never get bored! There are a lot of animals to hang around with, and big hot meals. There is  horseback riding, swimming, running around, shooting paint ball guns, airsoft guns, or even the real kind of guns! There is space to be away from your family, and camp fires and guitars that are played. Life just seems so more relaxed in the country because there is not near as much chaos. People are simple minded.

In weighing all of the pro's and con's, and figuring out which of these things said are just sterio types and which are the real deal, I've decided that the city is not for me. I feel free when I'm in the country, like my soul has returned to me... I feel like one can figure out who they want to be, and just sit under the stars. I love the fact that there is always work that needs doing, or a fence that needs fixing. I love getting up early and feeding the animals-even though it can be a pain, you get to see the sun rise in the mornings, and it's a type of feeling that one cannot replicate. I find that in the country, I feel whole.
So call me a hick, but I'll take my cowboy boots and cowboy hat and walk around this town proud. Because I know where my soul's headed, and I know where it's been, and I love the sounds of the future.

Summer time

Horses, Humming Birds and Hibicus-all the signs of summer. The blooming, vibrant colours, and the sweet scents that they give off. The Humming bird who zips around and flaps it's wings so fast that they are almost impoosible to see. And the gorgeous, majestical horses that provides services and healing for us humans.
I just bought a horse, his name is Simba. He is a darker bay, and he is GORGEOUS. He is 1/2 morgan, 1/4 arabian and 1/4 quarter horse. He is solid and a bit stubborn and I love him to death. He isn't completely broke, but I kind of wanted that so that I can break him myself too. (Like a summer project) So that's what I'll be doing all summer.
I also will be spending my weekends working at Decorating Dreams. We decorate for weddings, proms, birthday parties, etc. and it is Just Gorgeous!! I love working there. :)
And all of my extra time will be spent with my handsome boyfriend :D <3 He will be working construction during the day, and so that's when I'll spend time with my horse. And when he comes home, I'll be spending my time with him,
(It's our 5 month soon, and I plan on taking him canoeing and then for a picnic. I'm pretty excited!)
I hope that the summer is hot, and not so buggy. I hate it when the misquitos are out and hungry.
I also can't wait to be OUT OF SCHOOL!!! WOOOOHOOOO!! ...Until September. I will be coming back for a 5th year, but it'll be good because all of my friends are staying back too.
My life is constantly changing and I cannot wait to see what this summer will hold for me :)

Creative Craft

On sunday, I was hanging out with my boyyfriend Christian, and we were looking for something interesting to do. We both felt abit anxious, as rainy weather typically makes me feel that way.
We were brain-storming some ideas and I offered the idea to go to Michael's Craft Store in Waterloo and just look around and see what we could find.
As we were walking around, we saw some ideas for making a t-shirt, a puzzle, some colouring crayons and string and nothing seemed to interesting.
We kept looking and after about 10 minutes, we stumbled upon this really cool idea. There were a few different mugs, travelling cups and Monster cups. But the cool thing about them was that you could design them yourself! We picked the travel mug which came with 3 pre-designed pictures that needed colouring and 2 sheets of paper which were blank and could be designed yourself.
Christian and I bought the travel mugs, and we went back to his house and coloured a picture for each other. (He coloured me a heart that says Ashley + Christian = Love inside of a heart and wrote a sweet little message.)
The travel mugs were $3.00 each and I was shocked that the travel mugs were actually quality. My travel mug keeps the liquids inside hot for longer then all of our expensive travel mug.
It was a really cool idea that took up a few hours and was cheap. I strongly reccommend this idea for anyone who is wanting to make a cheap but really sweet idea.

Blogging-Is there a Point Anymore?

Blogging at the beginning of the year was SOO cool! You got an assignment, you quick blogged about it and BAM! You were done. It was easy, interesting, and something that I really looked forward to.
Then it got to the point where you had to start to force yourself to read the post from the teacher, and then look something up, and create a response to the article/blogspot/website, etc. It was pretty boring, but it was alright when you got into it, but it was slow going.
NOW, you hear "blogging today" and the first thing that pops into my mind is "SWEET! FACEBOOOOK!" and when the time comes to quick write the blog, i DREAD writting it. It just seems so repetitive and I'm never interested in the topics anymore.. Maybe it's just me or maybe it's because it's the end of the year, but Oh my goodness.
So today, I didn't really feel interested in the topic we were supposed to write about.. so I decided to boycott it and write my personal feelings about blogging.

Feel free to leave comments as to whether or not you agree.

HAWAII

So over the march break, the girls rugby team went to HAWAII for a trip. We stayed there for 10 or 11 days, and we had such a blast! We went surfing, climbed up Diamond Head (a volcano), went to Pearl Habour, saw giant sea turtles, went to multiple beaches, saw a surfing contest, WENT SHOPPING!, played rugby, went for a couple hikes, went to the Polynesian centre, learned how to hula dance!, ate hawaiian food and had an INCREDIBLE experience. There were so many experiences on this trip that I could write a story about each one of them, but I'm only going to choose one experience and go into great detail about it.
The experience that I'm going to write about is... SURFING!!! Several days after we had been in the beautiful Hawaiian state, we decided that we were going to the beach again. We grabbed our towels, bathing suits and sunglasses and started the trechorous walk down to the beach. Haha, just kidding! It was a 5 minute walk. But the moment that we stepped out of the shade of the hotel, we could feel the intensity of the heat. The sun was almost constantly shining, and you always wanted to wear a tank top (maybe t-shirt) and short-shorts. It was incredible. So we walked down to the beach, hearing traffic and people talking. Hearing the waves fold and crash, and the little kids that screamed in delight when the waves touched their toes. 5 girls-Becca, Alex, Olivia, Emily and myself, all decided to go surfing. We walked across the beach, seeing the people in the waves, the people laying and tanning on the beach, the hotels and restuarants that were all in-view from the beach. We walked for 2 minutes or so before we came across a couple that taught surfing.
We asked how much it was, and we paid $40 to go surfing for an hour. (But by the time we started, and the time we were done, it was a solid 1.5-2 hours that we went.)
Before we went into the water, they explained to us how to stand up, turn left and right, what to do when the waves came, and how to stop. After they demonstrated, we had to show that we knew how to do all of these things, to ensure our safety. While demostrating how to turn left and right, we had to put our hands in the warm, soft sand. It felt awesome. I could feel the sand between my fingers, and I felt so warm inside. I finally did it. I was in Hawaii, and for the first time it actually felt REAL. (You know when you're sooo excited for something, and you've waited so long for it that it doesn't feel real? Hawaii was like that for me.)
Afterwards, we went into the water, and it was so refreshing. Because the water was not hot, like the air around or like the sand. And it was not cold because it had the sun beating down on it, everyday. So it was just the right tempterature, and it was SOOO nice!
We started to surf, and when the little waves came it was alright, we just rode. But then came the big waves. And OH BABY! it was hard to hang on! You had to hold on to the board, and lift your torso up, with your legs flat behind you, and close your eyes. (because the water was salt water, it was fairly easy to get salt in your eyes, or nose, or mouth, etc. and that was Awful!)

I could see water all the way to the horizon! I could see surfers, and lifeguards, boats and helicoptors. I heard people yelling and laughing-it was almost as if i was seeing it on a movie, almost seemed unreal.
It was awesome. Long story short, I ate it a couple times. (I fell off the board) and I had many great times where I was able to stay up, and I was laughing the entire time. It was an incredible experience, and one that I will never forget. I debated going (because at this point in the trip, you don't have much money left.) and I am SOOO glad that I did.

here are some photos from the trip:

Transportation

If I could transport anywhere, it would be in the time where North America was not discovered yet by the Europeans and the Natives still ruled the land. Where the horses ran wild and they all lived in Teepees. It would be soo much fun to dress up in costumes and run around.
I like the thought of not having Time exist. (well no watches anyways). Where people aren't in such a rush to get no where..

I would love to just ride around bareback (on a horse) all day, with a feather in my hair and war paint on my face. It'd be pretty cool.

The Assembley

Today we had Tyler Durham speak infront of the entire school, and I just wanted to say that he was Incredible. I found that he talked about Real issues, and even already, I look around and I see a change. (It's the small things that count, right?)

I found that what Tyler spoke about was a very touchy subject, and I thought that the Way he spoke about the issues was..perfect. He was very gentle-spoken when he talked about the stories and he was gentle at the right times. But then he was energetic and enthusiastic at the right times as well. And when things felt like they got to intense, Tyler told a joke and made everyone laugh, but he made the jokes at appropriate times and it almost felt needed when he made the jokes.

I feel motivated to DO something, and make people feel wanted and welcomed.
I felt like I could relate to everything that Tyler was saying about the whole Dad thing. I've personally had a lot of issues with my dad, and although I don't cut, or want to kill myself, and I talk to people about it, I feel like it really hit home there.

Overall, I think that the assembly was INCREDIBLE and I'm sure well-needed. It's always good to have an assembley that pumps people up to make a change. WELL DONE W-O!

Song of the MONTH.

Without You lyrics

If I had my way,
I'd spend every day right by your side
And if I could stop time,
believe me I'd try for you and I
And each moment you're gone,
Is a moment to long in my life
So stay right here, right now

[Chorus]
'Cause without you I'm a disaster
(The moment you go)
And your my ever after
(Just thought you should know)
'Cause I need to know your answer
(Just say you'll stay with me)
I want you to say your gonna stay with me
(Just say you'll stay with me)
I die every day that you're away from me

If the world ceased to spin,
You could start it again with just one smile
If the seas turn to sand,
With the wave of your hand it would rain for miles
But the thought of you gone
Makes everything wrong in my life
So stay right here, right now

[Chorus]
'Cause without you I'm a disaster
(The moment you go)
And you're my ever after
(Just thought you should know)
'Cause I need to know your answer
(Just say you'll stay with me)
I want you to say your gonna stay with me
(Just say you'll stay with me)
I die every day that you're away from me

My heart breaks with every beat,
I can't explain what you do to me
So just say you'll promise me,
Please, take me if you ever leave
But the thought of you gone
Makes everything wrong in my life
So stay right here, right now

[Chorus]
'Cause without you I'm a disaster
(The moment you go)
And you're my ever after
(Just thought you should know)
'Cause I need to know your answer
(Just say you'll stay with me)
I want you to say your gonna stay with me
(Just say you'll stay with me)
I die every day that you're away from me

So just say you'll promise me,
Please, take me if you ever leave
My heart breaks with every beat,
I die everyday that you're away from me

I really enjoy this song, but mostly because I find the lyrics adorable. I enjoy the first verse the most, but I do like the lyrics A LOT.
I can't help but wonder though, should someone who can actually Sing should be singing this song? This guy just whines and it's kinda.. brutial? Like, it's be an amazing song if it wasn't so whiney though.

The Computation by John Donne

For my first twenty years, since yesterday,
I scarce believed thou couldst be gone away ;
For forty more I fed on favours past,
And forty on hopes that thou wouldst they might last ;
Tears drown'd one hundred, and sighs blew out two ;
A thousand, I did neither think nor do,
Or not divide, all being one thought of you ;
Or in a thousand more, forgot that too.
Yet call not this long life ; but think that I
Am, by being dead, immortal ; can ghosts die ?

This is the poem that John Donne wrote and I find this one kinda neat. I like the way that the last words rhyme, and I like the way that you have to read it a few times in order to understand it. You can't just read it once and get the full summary and/or analogy. I also like the fact that it talks about the past, present and future in this poem. I think that it's really cool. I also like how this author does not talk in modern day language. Yes, it makes it a little more difficult to understand, but I think that the way this poem is worded is incredibly done. I didn't really find anything that stuck out as "odd" sounding; it all just seemed to flow. I also liked the fact that the author ends the poem with a question, which envokes the reader to think about the poem, even after it is done. It causes the reader to wonder, and see the author's point of view. And for this reason, I enjoy this poem.
(Funny thing, when I first read it, I knew that I liked the poem, but it wasn't until I had to start writting WHY I liked it that I really figured it out. Neat, eh?)
For anyone who still doesn't understand this poem, it basically talks about this man who sent his lover back to the 24th century 24 hours ago. Then he talks about how sad he is and then he thinks back to his memories of her, and hopes that this will somehow bring her back. Then it talks about how long that he lives, and because he doesn't have his lover, he's been living hollow like a "ghost" and wonders if ghosts can ever die.

Song of the Day

When I was in grade 4 or 5, I loved to listen to Avril Lavigne. I would play her CD all the time, to the point where everyone in my family knew the lyrics. My two favoutite songs were "Skater Boy" and "complicated". For today's song of the day, I'm going to be posting the lyrics to complicated.

Whenever I hear this song, it brings me back to the days where the sun shone down and I was outside tanning with a cold drink it my hand. I remember the Summer Days and the Camping Days. The reason for this is when my cousin Amanda (she's a year younger) and I were camping, with our families, like we do every summer. We call this weekend "Sister's Weekend" because my mom adn her 2 sisters always go camping away with the kids for the weekend. Creative name eh?
But anyways, we were camping and Amanda and I had been drinking. We were in the bathroom charging our phones, when my mom came in. She hopped in the shower, and we were all talking and laughing. The radio was playing in the background when my cousin noticed that there was a quiet hum of the radio going. Just as she pointed it out, the song ended and Avril's song Complicated came on.
Amanda and I looked at each other, and started sing/yelling the lyrics. My mom heard us, and started "singing" along. We were having So much fun, that I don't think we noticed how loud we were getting. (But we must have been pretty loud because the bathroom was pretty busy before and no one walked in during that song). After we had a fun time singing that song, we all went back to chatting and then we all left.
As we were walking out, a man from up the road called out to us "Beautiful voices ladies!" and we just about DIED!

"opps" I thought, then just hollered back "Thanks!" and we walked to the campsite. It was pretty embarassing, but whenever I hear this song, I am always brought back to that wnoderful time camping.

So here it is-Complicated:

Uh huh, life's like this
Uh huh, uh huh, that's the way it is
Cause life's like this
Uh huh, uh huh that's the way it is

Chill out whatcha yelling' for?
Laid back it's all been done before
And if you could only let it be
you will see
I like you the way you are
When we're drivin' in your car
and you're talking to me one on one but you've become

Somebody else round everyone else
You're watching your back like you can't relax
You're tryin' to be cool you look like a fool to me
Tell me

Why do you have to go and make things so complicated?
I see the way you're acting like you're somebody else gets me frustrated
Life's like this you
And you fall and you crawl and you break
and you take what you get and you turn it into honesty
and promise me I'm never gonna find you fake it
no no no

You come over unannounced
dressed up like you're somethin' else
where you are ain't where it's at you see
you're making me
laugh out when you strike your pose
take off all your preppy clothes
you know you're not fooling anyone
when you've become

Somebody else round everyone else
Watching your back, like you can't relax
Trying to be cool you look like a fool to me
Tell me

Why do you have to go and make things so complicated?
I see the way you're acting like you're somebody else gets me frustrated
Life's like this you
and You fall and you crawl and you break
and you take what you get and you turn it into
honesty
promise me I'm never gonna find you fake it
no no no

Chill out whatcha yelling for?
Lay back, it's all been done before
And if you could only let it be
You will see

Somebody else round everyone else
You're watching your back, like you can't relax
You're trying to be cool, you look like a fool to me
Tell me

Why do you have to go and make things so complicated?
I see the way you're acting like you're somebody else gets me frustrated
Life's like this you
and you fall and you crawl and you break
and you take what you get and you turn it into
honesty
promise me I'm never gonna find you fake it
no no no

Why do you have to go and make things so complicated?
I see the way you're acting like your somebody else gets me frustrated
Life's like this you
You fall and you crawl and you break
and you take what you get and you turn it into honesty
promise me I'm never gonna find you fake it

This Morning with Dylan and Alex.

This is officially my first blog post of 2011 :D
And I'm going to start off the new year by telling you something about me. Something about me is that I NEVER hear what people are saying correctly. And apparently, neither can Alex.
This morning, I have writers craft first period and Usually we blog. And Dylan ALWAYS drives me crazy; by turning off my computer, messing with my phone, or just by being annoying (lol, but yes, he is a good friend still). And before I continue with my story, you have to know a bit about Dylan. Dylan is the type of guy that lives with his grandparents, and is Usually Always cranky in the mornings. He sits up tall, and dresses like a prep. He cares about the way he looks (even though he doesn't like to admit that). I have never heard of him hitting ANYONE, and I kinda doubt that he ever has. BUT WE LOVE YOU STILL DILL!

But anyways, long story short, I don't enjoy sitting beside him in the Mornings. (Figures that every morning I sit beside him in class!) Unless he's not grumpy, or I'm in an annoying mood. (He's the kind of person that is HILLARIOUS to bug. He gets SOO rattled over the Stupidest things)

So this morning, we walked into writer craft and we saw that we had a supply teacher! SWEET! That usually means Blogging! And low and behold, here we are-Blogging.
After the announcements and the ritual "Oh Canada", we were told to walk to room 523. (That's a computer lab)
So as Alex, Dylan and I were walking up to the computer lab, I said "I'm sitting beside Alex, not Duhlil, Called it!" (Dylan=duhlil)
and Alex replied "WHAT did you say?! I heard Duhlil knocked someone up!"
Dylan and I Burst out laughing!! Hahaha, it was pretty funny! I have never heard of Dylan even having a girlfriend! (But he's not gay) There's NO WAY that he would EVER knock someone up! So we had a good laugh about that.
And it seemed to be a good thing to blog about. I mean, some of the things that people think you said... Shows you how dirty their mind is! ;)

Dear Beth,

I was on facebook just a couple of minutes ago, and I read my brother's girlfreinds status. It said this:
yes we are fifteen.
yes we are too young to be in love.
however,
yes, we are madly in love,
no, we won't apologize for it,
yes, we know high school couples never last.
but, we have beaten all the odds before.
and 19 months later we are still together
so no, i'm never gonna give up.
love u ♥

And i'm so touched. She is brave enough to put this in her status, smart enough to think of this, and strong enough to put up with my brother! haha.
And although she is younger, I can't help but admire her. How she does it is unbelievable. She's right, she is beating the odds. She is so strong.
And although I never will tell her this, and I know that she won't see my Blog-ever. I can't help but share her with the world. She truly is precious.
So here's my unwritten response;

Yeah, you are young.
You proved that love has no age.
You are the person that every other girl dreams to be like.
No, high school couples usually don't last,
but some how you hung in there,
and showed everyone else that they were wrong.
And 19 months later, you are still proving how strong you are.
I hope you never do give up,
we love you

Song of the Day

So for today's song of the day, I chose the song "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion. I actually LOVE this song soo much! And there is a backstory to today's song. I was going to audition for the play the Wizard of Oz, and we had to choose a song to sing from a play. I chose this song because my voice is really high, and so I could actually sing this song. Anyway, I practiced and practiced and then came show time. They called my name and I was lead into a room with 3 Judges and a piano player. I looked at them, and the next thing I know, the piano player was already 30 seconds through the song and she was mouthing the words to me. I ALMOST PASSED OUT that's how scared I was. My knees were shakey, and I just stood there-frozen. Haha, needless to say that I did NOT make it into the production.
Anyway, Celine Dion sings this song BEAUTIFULLY and she does not freeze while singing it! :D
I first heard this song when I was watching Titanic, and this song just made my cry! It was incredible. And when I think of Titanic, I think of this song.

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on

Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till we're gone

Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we'll always go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

You're here, there's nothing I fear
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Yesterday

So yesterday, I was invited to my friend Nick's house and it was pretty much Amazing! We did a lot of things and one of them was a movie; we watched the Time Travellor's Wife-and OH MY GOSH! I had never seen the movie before and may I say that it was AMAZINGG!! Usually, I cry in movies. I cry pretty easily too-something super cute, or sad or funny-I'm crying. And I heard that the Time Travellor's Wife was really good and that it was a bit sad at the ending but this was SO sad! I was pretty much crying through the ENTIRE movie. And you know how it goes, once you start you can't stop it!
Anyways, so here I am meeting his family for the first time, and I'm sitting on the couch bawling my eyes out! Kay Sweet.
And his family is one of those families that are quiet and his dad and brother is kind-of weird, so that just made it even better?!
Lol, but it was so good! I DEFFINATELY reccomend this movie to Anyone!

And before the movie, we went and saw his horses (Which was incredible!) His horse was 17 hands tall!! THATS HUGE!
He also took me to see his Swans and Sheep. It was pretty cool. Except that I was TERRIFIED that the Swans would attack me! (My mom has had it happen before, and I've heard a BUNCH of stories that people have got attacked!) So needless to say, I was Extremely glad when it didn't attack me.
We also went for a walk in the bush, and that was pretty awesome. We threw snow at each other though. :)

All in all, it was a pretty great night! And I can't wait to go back again!

Song of the Day

For today's song, I figure that a song about Comedy would be awesome! I was listening to the radio yesterday, and I heard this song again, and I just laughed. I think that this is an extremely clever song and it just matches how I feel. I am also religious, but this song just gets me going. :)
I don't know any other songs, from this band, off hand. But I love it!
Today's song is: Pray For You by Jaron & the long road to love:

I haven't been to church since I don't remember when
Things were going great '˜til they fell apart again
So I listened to the preacher as he told me what to do
He said you cant go hating others who have done wrong to you.
Sometimes we get angry, but we must not condemn.
Let the good Lord do His job and you just pray for them.

I pray your brakes go out running down a hill
I pray a flowerpot falls from a window sill and knocks you in the head like I'd like to
I pray your birthday comes and nobody calls
I pray you're flying high when your engine stalls
I pray all your dreams never come true
Just know wherever you are honey, I pray for you

I'm really glad I found my way to church
'Cause I'm already feeling better and I thank God for the words.

Yeah I'm going take the high road,
And do what the preacher told me to do,
You keep messing up and I'll keep praying for you.

I pray your tire blows out at 110.
I pray you pass out drunk with your best friend and wake up with his and her tattoos.

I pray your brakes go out running down a hill.
I pray a flowerpot falls from a window sill and knocks you in the head like I'd like to.
I pray your birthday comes and nobody calls
I pray you're flying high when your engine stalls
I pray all your dreams never come true
Just know wherever you are, near or far, in your house or in your car,
wherever you are honey, I pray for you.
I pray for you

I absolutely LOVE christmas. My mom and I decorate the tree every year and we bake christmas cookies. This year, Alex, Dylan and a bunch of other friends went to the tree lighting ceremony and I LOVED it.
Every year I am the First person up in my family. Haha, last year, I allowed myself out of bed at 4:30 am. (The rule is that we can open our stocking up before anyone else is awake) And I unwrapped my presents as loud as I could!! My stocking has a bell on it, and so I shook my stocking and tried to wake everyone up!

Eventually I ended up getting Sarah up, and anyone was awake before 5am. :)
Needless to say, I Absolutely LOVE christmas!

My Friend Dylan

He is a Jerk. he is ALWAYS grouchy and ALWAYS complaining! He can't speak properly and he always uses his hands when he talks. He always has his necklace on wrong, and he drives me Insane! He always makes me sit beside a creepy guy in Business leadership and he is always bugging me! And he's pretty funny looking!

But overall, I love to laugh at him. He's a pretty funny guy ( to laugh at). He knows how to take a joke, and he is there for his friends. He is a great dancer-no matter what Stupid costumes he wears! and he is pretty cool. Sometimes.
I enjoy having him as my friend. Thanks Dill!
